Whatever! She pulled out her fluxlight; which illuminated the gas and little else, then went to work on modifying it into a fluxpistol!

Jack crept closer, but did not enter the cloud. He withdrew a small pouch, and was ready to unleash its contents on the creature if it appeared.

Jezzy; when it came to her turn; would shoot flux energy into the cloud! Pew pew pew!

She most definitely missed; but the benefit of not being able to see that she missed meant she could imagine she hit!

As Coyote waited to see the creature, Jezzy pew pew gun missed. The Flux energy lightly illuminated the cloud, but it was gone in the same flash.

Jezzy, for her part, did not fire again. Even though she *definitely* hit the last time, she'd better make absolutely sure she knew where it was this time.

Jack made his way back to Jezzy.

"Hey, McFly, that smoke won't last much longer. We might want to try something else. Maybe we can draw it back to those guys at the warehouse."

"Hmmm," she listened to the suggestion while thinking.

"HMMMMMMM," she thought a little harder while thinking.

"...yeah I don't know. I guess maybe I could try creating a hyperfluxonic lure that will influence the creature's brainwaves to make it follow a specific path... but... I already turned my fluxlight into a pistol. You got any tech on you I could borrow?"

The only tech Jezzy could see on Jack was the fancy respirator he had on. It would have kept him safe from almost any gas the bomb could have deployed, but it did little to improve visibility.

Gas mask was the "expensive item" I chose for Jack's gear. It would have to have some tech to it for the expense.

"Okay," she said with a sigh and pulled out a little ball that then popped out tiny arms and legs.

"Guess you're it little buddy."

(OOC: 'Small but useless robot companion' is a thing on her equipment list. I'd like to use Tinker on him to make him emit some kind of sonic lure that will attract the creature if I may.)

As the smoke goes away, the two would notice that the creature is not there. They could notice the foot prints made of mud, and they were smaller with each step until they disappeared.

"Well, that's a bit anti-climatic." he frowned, as he studied the tracks. "I wonder who that was."

"Damn, stupid smoke!"

She sighed.

"That was a non-native mutation that shouldn't exist on this planet. Just like that flux charged pistol that man was carrying," she said as she started to work on repairing both her flashlight and robot companion to function as they normally would.

"You can call it what you want." he shrugged. "But, it seems like it was a local who became that for a time. It definitely seemed dangerous. But, if those guys at the warehouse are rounding up everyone like that, they may be a problem."

"Those guys have no idea what they're doing, they don't even know what the flux is!" She threw her hands up into the air in frustration. "Don't say I didn't warn them when the GGC comes and grinds this planet into finely ordered fine *dust*!"

Following the directions from Ada, Hel floated slightly above the ground on her chair of bone along the streets. Coming into view of the two waiting around chatting.

"You said you could sense Fenrir here, yet I do not see him" Hel said, sounding annoyed as she turned the skull to face her again "where is he?"
