(D1 LM Open) Lunch is....ew

[Astrid Hansen]

"That means a lot" Astrid said with a warm smile "thank you. I want to expand my art, drawing animals is difficult for me. I struggle with the shaping I think, humans have a very deliberate and easily mouldable shape although hands still baffle me."

[Cameron York]

He chuckled "see and I'm pretty bad with people and goddamn hands are the worst man. I feel you there."

[Astrid Hansen]

"They really are. Anything else I can do, but hands just never feel right. Is why I often draw from angles where it is not flat hand, rather hand to side or on outfit so you can disguise better" Astrid said with a nod "is excuse but works."

[Cameron York]

"Eh it's just a work around. Nothing wrong with that, just gotta make sure you keep up practicing it so one day you don't gotta rely on it as much."

[Astrid Hansen]

"Feels like cheating, but I draw clothes more than hands now" Astrid shrugged, picking up her juice "will need to draw hands more. And animals more too. Hopefully will have more time, do schools in America give lots of homework?"

[Cameron York]

"Well I guess that all depends in what you consider lots? I mean we we usually get like a work sheet or two for readings. When I do it I think each class homework takes like twenty minutes? Maybe a little less."

[Astrid Hansen]

"Interesting. Back home I would say we often had about an hour of homework for the whole week" Astrid looked thoughtful "if only twenty minutes there should be time to prepare food and do more drawings."

[Cameron York]

"That is twenty minutes per class so usually ends up being like and hour or so of homework a night." He clarified "but I'd be happy to hang out sometime and draw together of show you how I draw animals more, might make it easier for you."

[Astrid Hansen]

"Oh, that is a lot more" Astrid frowned "perhaps it is because we get more done in classes? We have less people in a class."

There was a smile at the offer though.

"Offer of hanging out and drawing accepted. I would like to see your spray painting also. Maybe there is some kind of scrap yard you could use?"

[Cameron York]

He shrugged a little as if to say your guess is as good as mine but he smiled as she accepted the invitation.

He nodded "I don't know, might be able to find a place. Laura actually suggested I ask the comic book store owner if I could paint something on the side of the building. Not sure if they'll go for it though."

[Astrid Hansen]

I think that would be pretty cool. Why wouldn't they go for it? Maybe you should show them your work" Astrid frowned "I can tell them to let you."

[Cameron York]

Cameron laughed a little "I don't know if you can tell someone to let you do something. That seems like Intimidation. Which I mean I used to do it without asking or telling so I guess I can't judge." He smiled warmly

[Astrid Hansen]

"I am good at making people listen" Astrid said with a smile "let me talk to them."

[Cameron York]

"I gathered." He chuckled a little again "you don't have to do that though. I should be able to ask for things I want on my own."

[Astrid Hansen]

"It is no problem, am fine to do it" Astrid shrugged "I do want to see this comic book store anyway. Where is it?"

[Cameron York]

"It's small. Downtown, a little off the main street. It's right next to an alley. I could show you after school sometime. They don't have a ton but the guy that runs it is pretty good about finding things if you're looking for something."

[Astrid Hansen]

"Please" Astrid said with a nod "I do want to see it, even if it does not have a lot. I didn't have a comic store at home after all."

[Cameron York]

"Sure thing, a few days from now we can go check it out." He said with a smile "So you grew up in a place with no comic store, that mean you've not been able to read comic books?"
