"No," she answered Laura casually while not taking her eyes off the fairy, "It wasn't a redcap it was a gremlin, I think. Or it might have been a redcap, I don't know."

She then addressed the fairie again.

"So... miss Fairy, I'll assume it was?" She was pretty terrible at just holding a normal conversation.

Laura was certain she was dreaming. There was a fairy doing sign language with Astrid somehow and she didn't want to believe it was real. She simply waved in the things direction and kept silent.

[Amaterasu]

The fairy seemed to be saying that their home was destroyed by a very bad thing. But what would be a bad thing for a fairy?

"What is it doing?"

[Astrid Hansen]

"Speaking via sign language. Saying her home was destroyed, very sad" Astrid said to Laura before turning back to the Fairy.

"What destroyed your home little one? Where was your home, maybe we can deal with this bad thing and make sure it doesn't destroy other homes?"

[Sybil Alinsky]

"Ah..."

She'd been the one to see the fairy, so it was a little disappointing that she wasn't the one to be able to have a conversation with them. But she didn't mind that *too* much.

[Amaterasu]

She seemed to convey a giant spider. What is giant to a small thing like this fairy?

[Astrid Hansen]

"A giant spider...?"

Astrid frowned.

"How far is your home little one? Is it nearby, is the creature still around?"

[Laura Dawson/Enrage]

"I'm sorry did you say a giant spider? I would really like it if didn't, I really don't things with more than four legs."

[Sybil Alinsky]

"I wonder what it would be like trying to move that many legs," Sybil mused out loud.

[Amaterasu]

She pointed to the direction where the locals know is the school garden.

[Astrid Hansen]

"Over there? Let us go check it out then little one. Hop up onto my shoulder and we'll go look."

She looked at the other two girls, waiting for the fairy to hop onto her shoulder before she stood up.

"Back at home everyone leaving the village had to travel in pairs for safety. Better to do the same now."

[Sybil Alinsky]

"Oh, we're going to the garden? Okay," she said, drawn out of her musings on the neural difficulties involving spider limb locomotion.

[Laura Dawson/Enrage]

"Uhh, yeah, sure I guess we have some time before we need to head in." Laura was skeptical and still not fully believing what was happening but followed the others.

[Amaterasu]

As they arrived at the garden, they would notice the spiderweb. For the fairy it was huge for our group of heroes it was just the size of a hand.

[Astrid Hansen]

"Ah, I see" Astrid nodded, pulling her sleeve up over her hand.

"Let me deal with this spiderweb for you little one."

She moved over to destroy the web, hoping to notice the spider scurrying away while she did so. Or the Spider to come at her, one of the two.

[Laura Dawson/Enrage]

Laura let out a sigh of relief when she saw it was a normal sized spiderweb.

"I'm not a fan of spiders but don't they eat the bugs that will eat the garden if we do anything to it?""

[Amaterasu]

The fairy was grateful for their help. The Spider scurried away. The fairy signed that they also help keep the garden because the garden is their home. Another fairy with a toothpick spear came out threatening the human. The fairy spoke sylvan in tone that cannot be heard by human ears. The other fairy stood down.

[Astrid Hansen]

"The fairy said that they keep the garden safe" Astrid translated, only pausing when a second one came out.

"Do not worry, we mean you no harm little ones. We came to remove the threat to your home, that is all."

[Laura Dawson/Enrage]

Laura watched the spider, making sure it fully left the area.

"Well that's good I guess, how many of them live here? I'm kind of surprised that a spider is threat to fairies but I'm still shocked that fairies are real."
