Richard and the team were sitting on the bench waiting for the game to start. They were talking about their strategy and how they would beat the Bears.

The Bears were just warming up. The team was running laps around the court.

Each Segment affects the other by helping the Longhorns win the game or lose it.

Segment 1:Sabotage and tactics (Ends March 1 at 10 am Atlantic time.)
Players can decide to approach the bench of the Longhorns and give them some pointers or cheer them on.

Players can decide approach the Bears and intimidate them or try to Sabotage them by tricking them... be it physical or social.

A success gains an Lh point.

If Lh>5 next Segment Longhorns have field advantage and will lower TN of the next segment.
If Lh <5 The Longhorns are losing the game TN will have a instead of TN 6, TN will be 7.

Simon arrives to the game early and motions for Richard to come over and talk.

"Hey, I was compiling some statistics, just collecting data so I could practice my data basing. Anyway, I found some interesting data points that showed statistically significant outliers. That is, gaps in our offense and defense." He hands a sheet over to Richard, "There's a few notes broken down by player and scenario. Hope it helps."

After handing over the sheet, Simon heads back over to the bleachers.

Jonothan walked up to Richard and the others.

"All I know about basketball, beyond the basics, I what I learned watching Teen Wolf or the Globetrotters. Apparently, most of that stuff is against the rules." he shrugged. "But, I do know what it's like to perform in front of others, and the pressure that can cause. You can't let the audience distract you. Don't look at them, focus on the game. Relax and just play. Try to have fun. Do listen, though. Because we'll be cheering for you. We'll be supporting you every way we can."

As the Bears are warming up, Coop finds his way to the announcers' stand, trumpet in hand. He's in the band, after all. And from that vantage point, he begins to warm up. It's a fairly standard progression, really, in solfege So-Mi-Do-Mi-So-Do, or dominant to mediant to tonic and back up.

Of course, he happens to do it in D.

Of course, that happens to sound remarkably like the opening of the US National Anthem.

Of course, that ringing out brings an awful lot of things to an abrupt halt.

Can't be disrespectful, after all. Not like that, not at a US high school sporting event in the 1990s.

The Bears warm up was interrupted by the ringing sound of the trumpet as well as the feedback from the mics. They had to cut their warmup short. They sat down to rest for a while not noticing the girl below. When the Bears were to go to the middle they fell making the audience laugh lowering their morale. Richard tried to make a play based on Simon's statistical analysis. He explained it to the team. Jono's gave some confidence to the team.

They are giving it their all. Richard passed the ball to Jamie. Jamie takes the shot, and it goes in. The Bears passed the ball around until they landed a 3 point shot. It was back and forth as Jamie, Mark and Blake head is in the game. Richard continued to lead the team yet his head might be elsewhere. Kevin seemed to be slacking a bit.

The Bighorns are down by one point.

This time, the strings held. Jono played for the Bighorn audience and began a familiar song. Soon, both his guitar and his voice were drowned out by everyone joining in for the chorus.

Feeling some enthusiasm for and investment in the game, after giving over the data he had analyzed, Simon does his best to cheer on the team. Not being much of a sports fan, he doesn't really know what to say or do though. Then Jono starts playing and distracts him entirely.

Jono's music was enthralling and even the Bear fans were cheering for the Bighorns. This lifted the morale. Poor Simon was too distracted to help out with the cheer. Cooper's trumpet joining in help the harmony and continued to raise the morale. Mariana's Booing everything the Bears made a basket lowering the Bears morale.

Richard passed to Mark. Mark tried the shot it went in the basket. The ball is in the Bears hand now. Blake fouled Louis. Now, at the line Louis it goes in... the next basket will decide how big the lead will be. Swoosh it went in... Bighorns are holding the lead by 2 points.

We are at the last few minutes of the game.
Time out was called.

Something seemed off. There were anomalies in the Bears' gameplay. The information Simon had compiled for the Bighorns was helping, but it was almost as if the Bears knew what changes they were making. This deserved to be investigated further.

The ever inquisitive Simon began monitoring, not the game itself, but the spectators.

It was in his observations that he noticed another peculiarity, "Where's Genesis?" he mumbles to himself.
