"Yes Mr. Rodgers. The friend thing isn't entirely in my control but I will try. But I should probably be going, I need to take Jake's homework to him. I guess he got sick or something."

"Thanks but a GOOD friend would lose Jake's homework so he didn't have to do it. But he didn't call me and tell me he was sick so I'm gonna make sure he gets it all." She said with a weak smile. She stood up and grabbed her backpack. "Anyway I gotta head out, have a good night Mr. Rodgers." Slowly she headed for the door.
