Jack kept to the shadows, watching for anything of interest. It was a sleepy little town. He could feel the dreamers nearby. But, what nightmares may be out there in the night?

It seemed really quiet.

A pink haired young woman in futuristic pyamas came speeding around the corner on... a hoverboard? Yes. A *hoverboard*. An actual functional hoverboard. It was super futuristic. She also wore something large on her back though it was probably hard to guess what it was. As her hoverboard carried her forward, pink sparks of electricity occasionally erupted from around her.

"Man, this place is deader than Zarklaxis Proxima IV!" She said to no one in particular as she did a super awesome flip trick just to amuse herself with.

Normal traffic on the street this evening, but something may be amiss. There were an unusual number of black SUVs.

"It's a quiet night." A man stepped out onto the street. "Everyone's lost in dreamland."



He was apparently oblivious to the suspicious vehicles.

She stopped as the stranger stepped into the road, the hoverboard making half a circle as she did.

"Huh? Dreamland?" She asked; pink sparks erupting from her form like static electricity.

"Listen, I've not seen *any* sign of technology on this planet so I'm guessing you're at primitive B3 level at most, which like, is okay and all I'm not judging or anything, but here's the thing, I don't even *know* what planet this is to begin with, so your sub-planetary political divisions don't mean anything to me. Is dreamland a major power on this world? And more importantly, are they in contact with the GGC or not?"

She spoke rapidly, like she didn't have the time to be talking to some primitive local who didn't even know what a fluxspoon was.

"Oh, so it's a local colloqialism. Okay. Anyway, so do you know if anyone here is working for or is otherwise in contact with the GGC? It's like, *the* most important question *ever*. Your whole planet might be doomed depending on the answer. Speaking of, *which* planet is this again?"

"I think they call it Earth." he answered. "I've heard that in more of their dreams than other names."

"Never heard of it," she said with a shrug, "although it does kind of look like a primitive version of Gaia. But that's obviously not possible. Also not important! What's important is that you've apparently never heard of the GGC because if you had you would be running around in panic mode right now and you're not. So!"

She hovered a little closer on her hoverboard.

"You got any technology on you? Even primitive B3 level or whatever."

"I don't have much tech. A gas bomb and a mask, otherwise I like to keep things simple." he shrugged. "It would be ice to have one of those big cars, though."

He pointed down the street at a passing vehicle.

She started hovering over to a nearby parked car and touched it. At which point, maybe, just maybe, *weird* shit started to happen.



OOC: spending 1 intellect point to activate Tinker: You make a device do something different from its original purpose. For example, a blaster becomes a bomb. A scanner becomes a signal booster for a radio transmitter. A music player becomes a battery for another device. The effective level of the
modified device is 1 lower than normal, and the device is rendered unusable (for its original purpose) until repaired. Action to initiate.

Her tinker ability has the Weird Science power shift. Weird Science: Any science you touch becomes super science. Using this weird power, you bend, break, and change the fundamentals of science, creating fascinating hybrid futuristic machines.

I'd like to turn have a transformer-esque transformation sequence (super science!) and turn some random person's parked car into a futuristic scanner device that scans the area for any signs of advanced technology (because *obviously* that must tie to the GCC somehow)

While Sparklight created a telescope that could see infrared and x-rays, Coyote noted the SUV's license plates were government and unnumbered. They had tinted glass and were heading to the lake.

After a bizarro physics and reality defying transformation sequence, the car had become an ultraflux IRX-9000 telescope! Patent pending. Not *exactly* what she was looking for; but the best she could do with such primitive "Earth" technology. Hopefully it could use dimensional lensing to scan not just the sky but the planet's surface as well... even if only in the small region she was currently located within.

Oblivious to the *other* car that the strange dreamland refugee was taking note of; not that she'd have been particularly concerned by it anyway; she proceeded to try and use her new IRX-9000 to scan the area for signs of advanced tech.

"That's odd. I wouldn't think this would be a place for covert work." he said. "That car, and probably the others, is government issued and unmarked. That means federal law enforcement at the least. Something's going on."

No sign of advance tech but a trail from behind the SUV that Coyote pointed out. Sparklight with her telescope can see that the trail seem familiar, an energy from the future times.

"No way!" She yelled out; seemingly ignoring Coyote as she peered up from her ultratech device. "That *must* be Flux residue! After them!"

She had no concept of subtlety or stealth. These were *unimportant* concepts to Jezzy Sparklight; who knew that the only way to fight the drab and boring forces of galactic order was to be *flashy* as hell and confuse and overwhelm them with her action-oriented energy. Also to go fast. Always had to go fast.

(no idea if this requires a roll or anything, but Jezzy's a speedster sooo...)

"Alright, let's go!" he agreed, looking down at her Back to the Future board.
