Laura sat on a wall a few block away from the trailhead listening to her Walkman. Instead of her normally baggy clothes she looked dressed for a hike wearing jeans and boots and a thin, light jacket. A she waited for the others to show up she day dreamed about what their superhero group name should be.

Laura slipped off her headphones. "Hey Jonothan, glad you made it." She looked at his bike. "I don't think we're gonna be able to take the trail down, I haven't checked but I imagine they have it blocked off unless you just wanna jump the fence and ride down." He could see that she hadn't brought a bike with her.

There was the sound of an old motorcycle getting closer. Eventually the bike would come into view as well as a small rider wearing a black helmet. Pink hair seemed to poke out from under it.

She came to a stop nearby, taking her helmet off.

"Yo."

"I can leave it here." he shrugged. "It was just a quicker way to get here."

"Hey Astrid, cool bike!" She hopped own off the wall. "We definitely can't take that with us but it's cool you can ride. One of my dad's friends tried to teach me once and I broke my wrist though that was a three wheeler."

Astrid turned the engine off.

"As long as I can hide it somewhere it is fine" she said with a nod, taking the helmet off and climbing off the bike.

Cam showed up a little after the others rolling by on his board a soft grinding sound as he slowed and stopped by the group. "Hey guys sorry parents were all up in my business as I tried to leave."

He pushed on one end of the board causing it the flip up and he grabbed it putting it under his arm. He looked around Laura and Astrid he knew about Jonothan had been a little surprise as had Mariana though he didn't know either well.

"So, is this everyone?"

"Hey Cameron, yeah this is everyone I talked to. You didn't find anyone? Well, we aren't looking to take an army down there I guess. Let's get everything hidden behind this planter and get going?"

"Well you got the one person I was going to talk to about it." He said nodding toward Astrid.

"Other than that I wouldn't even know where to start with people."

He nodded at her suggestion though and moved to get his stuff hidden.

Jono hid his bike and checked the contents of his backpack. Sliding it onto his shoulders, he rejoined the others.

"Do we want to try the trail, or find another way?"

Mariana looked at the gathered. "Ummm, we have like many place to go investigate. We know the lake is where the thing is... and there is a warehouse... we should see about the other places we don't know." Mariana looked at Laura. "Show them the map... maybe if we put our brains together, we can make something out of it."

Ducked behind the bushes as they were Laura didn't see much of a problem with it and took out the map showing it to all of them.

Astrid moved her motorbike, hiding it before coming back and peeking at the map being taken out. Being from a long way away she didn't really know the area.

"We have an odd number. It is always better to not go to a dangerous place alone but having a sixth would have been ideal to go in pairs. Is there only one map?"

Cam looked about thinking "sure six would have been great but we got five. If we have to split up it'd be good for a group of three to explore the lake since that's where the Chimera was, we know it could be dangerous. Then two could explore the warehouse, we know less about it but don't think we have any reason to think it's actually dangerous."

"There were two government agents there with weapons." Jono said. "They're guarding that warehouse and whatever us in it. The chimera left the lake last night, but it could have easily returned."
