"Please" Astrid said with a nod "I do want to see it, even if it does not have a lot. I didn't have a comic store at home after all."

"It is not uncommon to not have breakfast at all really, but mom always pushed for it because it helps with staying warm."

There was a small pause as she looked thoughtful.

"What is pop tarts?"

"Oh thank you" Astrid reached up to pull two recipe books down so she could see them better.

"This says mexican. This says...cakes? Hmm" she held them against her "how many am I allowed to take at once?"

"It is no problem, am fine to do it" Astrid shrugged "I do want to see this comic book store anyway. Where is it?"

"In Norway we would usually have fish like salmon. Eggs are common, as is bread and cheeses. Or porridge" Astrid offered thoughtfully "I do not sweeten my porridge often but some do."

Astrid picked up the box of bird feed and offered some.

Astrid collected the ring and eyed it up.

"Interesting..."

She looked to the bird.

"That would be nice" Astrid nodded with a smile "so you have sweet breakfasts? That's interesting, I don't usually have sweet things for breakfast."

"I am good at making people listen" Astrid said with a smile "let me talk to them."

"Maybe back home but I would not expect to see one here."

Astrid stood up, picking Vennen up and moving her into her cage. Closing it before returning to the window.

"I have not read this Crow series. Do they have it here?" Astrid looked around "I had only intended to get recipe books but I would enjoy more reading material. I didn't bring any from home."

"I read a lot of fantasy novels, although it was difficult to get hold of books where I lived. I think my favourite book was written by an American author, Mists of Avalon?" Astrid checked to see if the other girl knew it "what do you read?"

"It is not difficult" Astrid shrugged "but it is unlikely we can get in today then yes? Is there anywhere less guarded we can check?"
